Ooh, interesting. Not necessarily hidden gems, but my favorite places to eat were Phonatic and Nice Slice. Check out the RISD Museum if you’ve never been, as well as the library. If you can get into the Design Center, the type shop on the 3rd floor is my favorite place in the world. I’ve also heard rumor that you can get onto the roof of the RISD college building, but don’t quote me on that - and don’t blame me if you get in trouble trying to figure out how. You can walk onto the roof of the Benefit St Garage studio though, and creep people out by staring at them through the skylights. Also, walk past 15 West into more downtown Providence, and there are a ton of adorable (expensive) furniture and artsy boutiques.
